Warranty Policy
Warranty Policy
This Warranty Policy applies to products sold by SimSpace Golf and is designed for international customers.
It includes:
- our commercial warranty (our additional promise), and
- a summary of regional statutory consumer rights (which may provide stronger protections).
If local mandatory law gives you greater rights than this policy, local law applies.
1) Core Principle: Wear & Tear vs Manufacturing Defect
Our products (especially golf practice products) are subject to wear based on frequency and intensity of use.
Accordingly:
- Normal wear and tear is not covered by this commercial warranty.
- Defects not caused by wear and tear are covered under the applicable country/region terms below.
Examples of factors that accelerate wear:
- shots per day / hours per week
- ball speed and strike quality
- club type and impact location
- installation method
- environmental conditions (heat, moisture, UV, dust)
Heavy use does not automatically mean a product is defective.
2) Product-Specific Wear-Life Guidance
These figures are lifecycle guidance for wear expectation and claim assessment.
A) Golf Impact Screens
- Maximum use expectation: 20,000 shots
- This is approximately 6 months at 100 shots per day
B) Golf Hitting Mats
- Maximum use expectation: 40,000 shots
- This is approximately 1 year at 100 shots per day
- We do advise turning the mat 90 degrees every few weeks
C) Golf Balls
Golf balls are consumable products and naturally scuff, mark, and lose cosmetic finish with use.
- Covered: clear manufacturing defects (e.g., seam split, out-of-round, cover/balance defect present in normal use).
- Not covered: normal cosmetic scuffing, cut marks from normal strikes, cart-path/tree impacts, loss, or ordinary performance decline through use.
D) Training Aids
Training aids are covered for manufacturing defects under normal intended use.
Replaceable/wear parts (if any) are treated as consumables unless defective on delivery.
3) What This Commercial Warranty Covers
During the applicable warranty period, we cover:
- defects in materials
- defects in workmanship
- failures not attributable to wear and tear, misuse, or external damage
If a claim is approved, we may (as permitted by local law):
- repair,
- replace, or
- provide proportional credit/refund.
4) What This Commercial Warranty Does Not Cover
Unless prohibited by local law, the following are excluded:
- normal wear and tear / consumable depletion
- cosmetic wear that does not affect safe function
- misuse, abuse, neglect, improper storage
- incorrect installation or setup
- use outside published product guidance
- outdoor exposure for indoor-design products
- alteration, modification, or unauthorized repair
- damage from third-party equipment or non-recommended accessories
- accidental damage, impact damage outside intended use, flood/fire
5) Warranty Periods (Commercial Warranty)
Unless a longer period is required by applicable mandatory local law, our standard commercial warranty period is one (1) year from the date of delivery for all products, unless otherwise stated below or on the applicable product page.
In addition:
- Impact Screens: Covered for manufacturing defects for the applicable regional warranty period stated below. Wear performance is assessed up to an expected wear life of 20,000 shots.
- Hitting Mats: Covered for manufacturing defects for the applicable regional warranty period stated below. Wear performance is assessed up to an expected wear life of 40,000 shots.
- Golf Balls: Defect-only coverage upon prompt inspection and initial use. Golf balls are consumable items and are not covered for wear.
- Training Aids: Covered for manufacturing defects for the applicable regional warranty period stated below, unless a different period is specified on the product page.
Where a product page specifies a longer commercial warranty period, that longer period shall apply.
In the event of any conflict between this page and a product page, the longer, consumer-favourable term shall apply, unless otherwise required by mandatory local law.
6) Regional Terms (Statutory Rights + Commercial Warranty)
United Kingdom
For UK consumers, this policy is in addition to rights under applicable consumer law (including rights relating to goods being as described, fit for purpose, and of satisfactory quality).
Where UK law gives stronger rights/remedies, those rights prevail.
EU / EEA
For EU/EEA consumers, this policy is in addition to mandatory legal guarantee rights under local implementation of EU consumer sales law.
Where local law gives stronger rights/remedies, those rights prevail.
United States
This is a Limited Warranty and gives you specific legal rights.
You may also have other rights that vary by state.
Some states do not allow limitations on implied warranties or exclusion/limitation of certain damages, so some limitations may not apply to you.
Rest of World
This policy is in addition to any mandatory rights under your local consumer law.
If local law provides stronger protections, local law prevails.
7) Claims Process
To make a claim, contact support with:
- order number / proof of purchase
- product name and date received
- photos/video clearly showing issue
- installation photos (screens/mats)
- usage estimate (shots/day or sessions/week)
- date issue first noticed
We aim to provide an initial response within 2 business days.
If inspection is required, we may ask for return of product or sample section (where lawful and practical).
If claim is approved, remedy is repair, replacement, or proportional credit/refund.
8) Important Clarification for High-Wear Products
For impact screens and mats, reaching or exceeding expected shot-life (20,000 / 40,000) is generally treated as normal wear progression, not a manufacturing defect, unless evidence shows abnormal failure under proper use.
