Position the sensor 2.1 to 2.7 meters (7 to 9 feet) behind the tee for outdoor full-swing sessions, ensuring an unrestricted ball flight for accurate tracking.
When setting up indoors, maintain the same sensor-to-tee distance of 2.1 to 2.7 meters, but ensure at least 4 meters (13 feet) of ball flight for accurate simulation. For precise spin measurements indoors, use metallic dots or Titleist RCT balls.
For putting, the sensor should be placed 1.5 meters (5 feet) behind the tee, with a maximum distance of 2.1 meters (7 feet) and a maximum putting range of 9 meters (30 feet).
Chipping setups require careful attention to ball flight distance. For limited flight chipping, position the sensor 2.1 meters behind the tee with a minimum ball flight of 2.4 meters (8 feet). In contrast, full-flight chipping should maintain the same sensor distance but allow for a ball flight range from a minimum of 1.8 meters (6 feet) up to 45 meters (150 feet). As with indoor full swings, using metallic dots or Titleist RCT balls is recommended for accurate spin measurement in chipping.
