SimSpace Golf Impact Screen Care & Use Guide

SimSpace Golf Impact Screen Care & Use Guide

Follow these tips to ensure your new impact screen performs at its best and remains in excellent condition.

Initial Setup

When your impact screen arrives, it's crucial to remove it from its packaging as soon as possible to minimise creasing. Identify the front of the screen, designed to withstand golf ball impacts, and ensure this side faces inward during installation to protect it.

Installation Tips

Proper positioning of your screen is essential for optimal performance and longevity. Install the screen at a distance of 12-16 inches from any wall to prevent damage. Adjust the screen's tension to find the perfect balance between flatness and ball rebound. A more tensioned screen will result in greater bounce-back but reduced wear, while a looser screen will decrease bounce-back but may wear faster. Additionally, ensure the bottom of the screen is near the floor and that all edges are shielded to prevent damage from direct hits.

Minimising Wrinkles

After installation, gravity will naturally help reduce wrinkles over time, a process that may take from a few days to a few weeks. If you encounter stubborn creases, you can use a clothes iron on a very low setting on the back of the screen to help smooth them out.

Usage Guidelines

To maintain the cleanliness and durability of your screen, always use new, unmarked golf balls and regularly clean your clubs. For safety and to minimise ball bounce-back, stand at least 10-12 feet away from the screen. While SimSpace screens are designed for heavy use, they will show signs of wear over time, depending on the frequency of use and the skill level of the player.

Cleaning Instructions

When it comes to cleaning, use a carpet shampooer or a reliable cleaner to effectively remove dirt and stains. Avoid air drying a wet screen, as this can lead to water stains. Instead, use a fan or hairdryer on a low heat setting to ensure proper drying.
